The Fiberglass Body:
All fiberglass
bodies are not created equal. To start with we have a 9 piece main body mold. The advantage this gives us, and gives you, is that should your vehicle ever sustain
body
damage, we can reproduce the body panel that you need, to
the exact tolerances of the original. For most custom car builders this is not
possible, however, as quality is our main objective, we make the
replacement of each and every part as easy as possible. In addition, we have
designed the seams in our cars to be much less than the standard out there in " KIT
CAR" world. In the unlikely event that you may need body parts or panels we
can save you hundreds of dollars in labor costs, because of the accuracy in the
dimensions of our parts.
If you are just interested in buying the body and doing
the work yourself, once again we can save you hundreds of dollars in labor costs
because of the accuracy in our bodies.

There is no other kit car manufacturer that
can design their bodies and seams to the tolerances that we have in ours.
As a company, we have invested the money to perfect our cars, so you don't
have to!
You might ask...
Q. "Why would a company invest all that money into
perfecting their bodies"?
A. We build 99 percent turnkey
models.
Most of our customers buy the car completely built here at our facility in
Houston, TX. Because we build so many of the cars ourselves, when you buy a kit
you get the same quality and materials that we use at our facility.
Chassis:
Well, let's answer the first question you probably have
at this time. Yes, we use the chassis of a Fiero to mount our bodies on.
However, this is not the most important thing that we do to the chassis. We
start by completely stripping all of the exterior body panels and the entire
interior from the car. Then we weld tubular steel to the "K" frame of
the Fiero, which we call the super structure. This procedure is very critical.
First, the accuracy of the
welding must be within one sixteenth of
an inch
(at the very most) to be able to properly mount the body. Second , as we have
taken safety as a main consideration, our
welding procedure greatly strengthens the
"K" frame of the
Fiero.
Some other questions
that you may
have.
1. We do not stretch the
frame: there is only a three inch difference in the wheel base between the original Countach and our car. In stretching the frame
there are many things that need to be taken into consideration, the first of
which is not only insurance but liability. We have seen in our career many
excellent stretch jobs that were well done and looked great. However, one of the main
problems is obtaining insurance on such a vehicle where the frame
has been altered. In addition many states require that a vehicle be issued a new VIN
number when the frame is
changed . Because we do not
change the frame, but rather strengthen it at the
needed points , and add steel where the body is mounted, we do not need to apply for new VIN
numbers. Believe it or not, this way can actually save you a small fortune in insurance
payments. Just call your insurance
company and explain to them that you would like to put a 30,000 dollar custom
made vehicle, with an altered frame and new VIN number, on the road and you would
like a quote for the insurance premiums!
2. NO
STRESS CRACKS! That's right folks you hear what we're saying, we have never had a car
return to us for the repair of cracked or stressed body panels. In other cars,
flex in the frame can be passed on to the body panels, resulting in
stress cracks and splitting of seems. Because of the strength in our body and
superstructure, the
original way the frame was designed, and the addition of our tubular steel for
strength and body mounting, we have made stress cracks a sad thing of the
past.
Hinges:
This too is an area where very critical tolerances are
needed. We have spent thousands of dollars on the development of all aluminum
hinges.
Most of our hinges consist of CNC machine aluminum hinges that we have
custom-designed just to work on our cars. This is not only important for long
use and good reliability it is also important that these hinges be strong enough
to sustain constant road vibration and occasional driver abuse without needing
readjustment. We have designed to front and rear deck lids to hinge up and out
of the way for service reasons. Our deck lids do not open a small 12 inches,
they open up practically to the outside of the vehicle.

Interior:
Okay, let's get down to the nitty gritty of the
interior. We do not use any of the donor car parts. Our interiors are custom-designed and custom fit to and for each vehicle. Not to mention, if you're buying the vehicle from us you get to pick your own colors. When you sit inside a Final Vision 2000 Series car, you will not believe how much custom work actually went in to the interior. We spare no expense when it comes to the interior of our cars, and we can even build any custom Theme Car interior.

The leather interior can be one or two tone.
If you decide to consult us on the interior, we will suggest the two tone leather. We also use a high quality interior carpet. Underneath that carpet we
use a sound deadening material to absorb road noise. There is no reason
that the inside of a properly made car should be as noisy as some of the other vehicles
out there. We believe that these materials make a difference in the way that you
will enjoy a Lamboshop car.
We also use the Dakota Digital Dash Cluster for your monitoring enjoyment. In most cases we can have the Dakota Digital Dash
cluster main the same color as the exterior paint of the vehicle!

We also use
the Dakota Digital keyless entry system on all of our vehicles. You also get
your choice of a Blaupunkt stereo system or equivalent. Upgrades are also
available to CD players, amplifiers, speakers etc. To top off the appearance of
the inside of our vehicles, we alter the air conditioning system and install new
air conditioning bezels along with the conversion to the 134-A coolant. Believe
me, you'll not be disappointed with the interior of this car.
Miscellaneous:
Undercarriage:
We do not use the donor wheel wells. We
custom make our
own wheel wells and enclose the entire under carriage using ABS plastics. This
protects the entire under carriage of the vehicle from the weather and acts
as a sound barrier, keeping the inside quieter than our
competitions. We add an abundance of sound deadening material and fire suppression.
Suspension:
For those of you who are very performance minded may we
suggest upgrading to the '88 Fiero donor car with the Lotus
suspension. This chassis already has upgraded brakes for better stopping power when using a high-performance motor. We know you may be asking if we lower the cars to look more true to life
as the Lamborghini. The answer is yes we do. We adjust the coils to lower the
car closer to the ground to look more authentic.
Wheels:

We do not use wheel adapters for our vehicles. There
are almost too many reasons to list why not too. The most important is safety, ride, tire wear and alignment. We have contracted
with a tire rim manufacturer to custom make our rims to our specifications. Wheel sizes: Front and Rear/ 225-50-15. We are in the process of engineering an adaptor made of steel, that will work.
Wiper motor:
Once again this is another part from the donor car that
conveniently finds the garbage. We have taken this to the drawing board many
times and, needless to say we have come out winners. Our wiper motor is custom-made to work properly with our vehicles. Our wiper blade properly sweeps
in the water from the driver side to the passenger side of the vehicle. There is
no ugly welding, rigging or fumbling with our wiper motor's and arms.
Functional vents:

The Final Vision 2000
Series car has 12 anodized
aluminum vents, or a stainless-steel chrome option. All but two of the vents are fully functional. At this time one of the vents is used for RAM air induction
and the rest are used for cooling the motor. The two nonfunctional vents in the
front of the vehicle are presently being redesigned to cool the front
brake
calipers and to provide the inside of the car with fresh air.
Windows:
The front and rear Windows are DOT compliant. This side
door Windows are removable to let in all the fresh air you can handle. The front
quarter window is stationary and locked in place.
Headlights:

We do not use pop-up headlights on our vehicles. We
have seen plenty of good-looking vehicles with not so good-looking headlights.
Not to mention, we all know that any vehicle with pop-up headlights is going to
add pop-up problems occurring anytime, anywhere for any reason. We designed to
headlights to sit just inside the nose of the vehicle, and cover them
with a special lens. Our headlights do not interfere
with the streamline appearance of the body. A recent survey, conducted by us here
at our factory in sunny Florida, has concluded that most of our customers find
our headlights to be more attractive than the pop up style headlights. Hey, if
you don't believe us, just take a look at one of the pictures here on
our website and you will see just how sleek and aerodynamic they look!
Conclusion:
We know we can just go on forever about all the
wonderful things we have done to our vehicles and all the wonderful things that
you will fall in love with once you see one. It is important to us that our
future customers understand that the only part of the Fiero contained in the new
vehicle is the chassis. We do not use the interior parts,
dash cluster,
headlights, tires or wheels or any other part of the Fiero.
One of the most important questions our customers ask
us is "what is the re-sale value of your cars after I own it for a few
years." We are always happy to report to them that most of our customers
have sold an older model vehicle for more than they
originally paid. We know there
are many variables in this equation... the condition of the vehicle,
the mileage and so on. However, it is extremely important to us
that our customers have a high resale value vehicle in the future. Not every
custom car manufacturer can make this claim. We have worked
hard to earn the right to say this.
We also feel that it is very important for our past and
future customers to know that we have an open door policy here at
Lamboshop.
We encourage you to visit our facility at anytime for any reason you wish. We
have earned many customers in the past with this philosophy and we believe that
a company that hides has a reason for hiding. Our open door policy makes
everyone feel more comfortable about doing business and about buying a custom
car. You may find it surprising that we also encourage you to do your homework
and checkout other manufacturers and custom car builders before visiting Lamboshop.
We are so confident that once you test drive
one of our vehicles you will buy it, we are willing to credit $200 towards your
air fare and $50 towards your hotels stay while visiting.
We believe when you have done your homework,
visited
other manufacturers, checked prices and compared quality you will become one of our
happy customers! |
